I’ve been a Plastic Modeler for as long as I can remember, building alongside my Dad at the age of 3 putting together my first model, a 1/72 scale Monogram B-29 that was almost bigger that me! My interest have changed over the years from Trains, Planes and Automobiles to mostly Armor subjects at the moment. I do however dabble in Science Fiction from time to time but, with that being said, I will build just about anything if it sparks an interest.  I love scale modeling and everything it entails. I started going to Hobby Shows early in the late 90’s and from that time began contributing my time and passion to some of our local Hobby Clubs serving as President in one and Head Judge of the “Gathering” three years running. I love seeing how much our hobby has grown over the years and feel we are in the “Golden Age” of modeling. The importance of making access for all modelers and genres, for all ages and ability levels and showcasing their work is the driving force behind the EXPO . Above all, I love “rubbing elbows” with fellow modelers and drawing inspiration and motivation from their work.  This is right time, the right place and the right people, all with a common passion to share the hobby and create an environment that will make this a Hobby Show you’ll want to return to year after year.

I am a long time Plastic Modeler, and I also host and produce the Plastic Posse Podcast. I model primarily Science Fiction and Armor, but I will build just about anything.   I am passionate about contributing to our hobby, making access inclusive for all modelers in all genres and ability levels. I love Hobby Shows- the inspiration you get when seeing the work of other modelers and collaborating with them.  Working with this group of friends and modelers, I think we have created a terrific environment and a show that any modeler will really enjoy. 

Josh Buck

I’ve been modeling like most, since a young age. I slowed some while in college but never gave up. For a long time my interest was only in aircraft, by as time went on it grew into most subjects. I’ll build just about anything that captures my interest. I love history, and my modeling is often tied to what I am studying at the time. Modeling is not only a hobby for me, but also a great tool in maintaining my mental health. I’m so excited to be part of an amazing group that is putting on this show, and for the opportunity it will provide to share and grow this incredible hobby!

I have been building models and painting and sculpting figures since childhood. I am a longtime member of the Military Miniature Society of Illinois (MMSI) and a founding member of the Great Basin chapter of the Armor Modeling and Preservation Society (AMPS.) I co-host and produce Small Subjects, a podcast that primarily focuses on figure modeling. I'm excited for the opportunity to help make the Rocky Mountain Hobby Expo a fun and rewarding experience for modelers of all genres.
